Man of Steel had better fights. The fights in that movie were great, it was like live action Dragonball Z fights. Also Amy Adams was hot and the dude playing Superman is better than the one in Superman Returns.
Superman Returns had Spacey playing an awesome Lex Luther. The action and story were pretty lame from what I remember.

Both were crap but Man of Steel gets it because the Krypton sequences were great and Zod was tremendous.

MoS was both better and more irritating. It felt more serious, which invites more of a critical breakdown.
