Default The Top 5 players in this years draft

The Top 5 players in this years draft.

1. Greg Oden- probably the best big men prospect since Tim Duncan entered the NBA Draft in 1997. What many scouts and NBA Agents like about him is his maturity in defense and having a well Build NBA body for his age. I know his offense his very raw yet but i can see him improve in the NBA level like when Hakeem Olajuwon enter the NBA Draft in 1984. Their are rumors that the Portland Traiblazers are planning to select him in the NBA Draft that will give this young team a defensive presence in the low posts.

Best Case Scenario: Hakeem Olajuwon and David Robinson.

Worst Case Scenario- The Next Michael Olowokandi

Both guys stand 7 feet tall good players in College but Michael is already 22 or 23 yrs.old when he enter the NBA Draft in the summer of 1998. The problem with Olowokandi is he never grow as an NBA player in the NBA his offensive skills is soo bad and his defense is above average. I think what hurts Michael is the development of his lateral movement in the NBA he is too lazy to practice jumpshoots and unlike Hakeem Olajuwon he never live to his expectation. If only he have a decent coach in his prime he will never be one of the biggest NBA Draft busts in NBA Draft History.

2. Kevin Durant- The 2007 NCAA College Player of the year doubt as the best College freshmen in NCAA History. Kevin Durant reminds me of mix between Tracy Mcgrady and current NBA MVP Dirk Nowitski because of his tremendous ability to shoots from the outside. He finished his freshmen year averaging PPG 25.8 | APG 1.3 | RPG 11.1 in 35 games he played last season.

Best Case Scenario: Dirk Nowitski, Rashard Lewis and Carmelo Anthony

Worst Case Scenario: Mike Dunleavy, Brinten Johnsen and Pervis Ellison.

3. Yi Jianlian- Dubbed as the Chinese Kevin Garnett a versatile 7 footer who can run up and down the Court like a PG. He is probably the best international player in this years NBA Draft. I think teams would like to have a player that have tremendous upside in his offense and defense like Yi Jianlian.

He is currently the MVP of the Chinese Basketball Association after averaging 24.9 PPG and 12 RPG. He also won the 2006 FIBA 19 and under Most Valuable Player of the year after having a break out performance in this tournament.

Best Case Scenario: Chris Bosh, Pau Gasol and Kevin Garnett

Worst Case Scenario: Wang Zhi Zhi, Nikolai Tshkivishli and Darko Milicic

4. Mike Conley Jr- Probably one of the best freshmen PG in the NCAA last season, Conley is a pass first PG and is offensively minded like Chris Paul. I say that because of his size measure at 5'11 3/4 in the NBA Draft Camp he will have difficult time playing with taller point guard. Like Chris Paul i think his speed and his upper body strength would help him to be able to be one of the top NBA PG in the next 10 years.

Best Case Scenario: Chris Paul, Tim Hardaway and Kevin Johnson

Worst Case Scenario: Jose Barrea, Beno Udrih and Chris Childs

5. JUlian Wright- a versatile swingmen from the University of Kansas, Julian Wright played high school basketball at the Homewood-Flossmoor High School in Flossmoor, Illinois. In 2005 he was selected to the McDonald's All-American team, and he was rated among the top ten basketball players in his class by several recruiting services)[1] due to his talent and versatility. At 6'8" and 225 lbs, Wright combines good size with excellent athleticism and skills, which allowed him to play numerous positions in high school, including point guard, small forward, and power forward.

Wright entered the 2005-2006 NCAA season for the Kansas Jayhawks as the pre-season freshman of the year in the Big 12 Conference. Though he didn't start at the beginning of the season, he quickly played his way into the starting power forward slot. His superior athleticism often allowed him to score baskets simply by virtue of his having beaten the defense down the court. A highlight of his freshman campaign may have been against the University of Texas in the Big 12 Tournament Championship game when he put an exclamation mark on KU's win with two magnificent breakaway slam dunks in the closing minutes of the game. During his freshman season, Wright averaged 8.5 points per game, but he was praised more for his ability to help his team without scoring. He was named to the All-Big 12 Tournament Team and the All-Big 12 Freshman Team along with fellow Kansas freshmen Brandon Rush and Mario Chalmers. In 2007, he was again placed on the All-Tournament Team. Wright recently garnered national attention for a 33 point performance against the Missouri Tigers, highlighted by an emphatic dunk over Missouri's Kalen Grimes. Wright is also known to love bowling, which he does at the Jaybowl in the Kansas Union.

For his play during the 2006-2007 season, Wright was named a third team All-American by the National Association of Basketball Coaches' All-America Team.[2]

Despite statements to the contrary, on Monday, April 9, 2007, Wright announced that he was making himself eligible for the 2007 NBA draft. He hired an agent, making him ineligible to return to school prior to the draft.

You (or your source) are the only person I've seen saying Julian Wright is the 5th best player in the draft.
