You know wat I noticed? Kobe haters started hating on well known factual honors just because Kobe racking them up.

Notice how since the "Kobe Effect", haters started hating All NBA Teams, All-Defensive Teams, All Star selections and MVPs, and All-time list of anything involving points or steals.

They quick to shoot down ALLNBA Team selections as "media hype" "media votes", yet prop up league MVPs that are voted by the media aswell.

Oh, and the media doesn't vote for All-Defensive teams, the coaches do, so then ur media excuse is gone, and wat you do after that? Start actin like you, a ISH poster, is smarter than NBA coaches.......talk about hating a player so much you ignore All time honors and reach so much you enter the psychological vortext of delusional stupidity...just a upset butthurt bunch ain't yawl?...

How could you forget "sidekick rings"? I don't remember Kareem or Magic getting hit with that tag.

or

The desperate need for the "clutch" moniker to be statistically verified.

When he passes Jordan for scoring that's really going to sting for a lot of posters. I can predict there will be tons of threads about Jordan and youtube videos of Jordan.

Having read most of his detractors here on ISH this summer saying he'll never come back from his injury I'd say walking on the court will pretty much make them choke on their words...

I think the worst thing is when they try to diminish all defensive team selections as being "media hype" and then turn around to boast MVPS & DPOY voting when...

All defensive teams are voted on by coaches & MVP/DPOY are voted on by the media

The 3rd one means absolutely nothing. Larry Bird, Scottie Pippen, and Grant Hill are all easily better passers and actually made players around them better. If not for Grant Hill's injury he would be up there in career assist. Kobe just has that longevity going for him. Passing Jordan in points? Who cares. He leads the NBA in missed shots and has played 3 more seasons than Jordan...and that's with Jordan playing 17 and 18 games for two of those seasons. That is no accolade I'd be proud of.

Not only that but Kobe played 2/5ths of his career with the rule changes that changed everything in the 2005-2006 season. Nobody was more affected positively by those rule changes than perimeter players.

Seriously, do you realize how stupid you sound? You wouldn't be proud of being the all time leading scorer in the best basketball league in the world?

Straight up idiocy right there.

It doesn't look good when you are just going to pass the 3rd leading scorer of all time and you already have the most missed shots in the history of the league.

I'd say that being a top 3 scorer and top 10 overall player in NBA history is impressive no matter what.

He isn't a top 10 player of all time. He could stick around and pass Kareem in points and that isn't happening.
