He's a terrific defender and best when he gets to do more.

Obviously, I know he plays center for the Bulls. But he'd be better at PF.

Maybe 5-10 years ago when we thought power forwards needed to be 6'10 to get on the court, but in the current game he would be a liability at the 4. You expect offensive production out of your 4 and while Noah is an excellent passer for a big he just can't score enough to succeed in that spot.

Center is definitely his best position.

Dwight Howard is the Best Center in the League. He has a 68.1% FG%. He's going to be the Defensive Player of the Year. He's completely changed the defensive culture of his team and turned it around in one year. He plays hurt with serious injuries every single night. And he's a vocal leader both on and off the court.

Wait.......oh, that's not Dwight.........that's Tyson Chandler, my bad.

Drew Gooden. So now Noah moves further down the list of NBA's best centers.

I'm not disagreeing with you. I was paying extra attention to Noah against the Heat last week. On offense, you're 100% correct. But on defense, he can guard anyone. He got caught out on the Heat's wing players all game, and played incredible defense.

That's why I like Horford for them. Offensively, he's like a less dirty and smaller Bynum...except his footwork is incredible and he runs the floor better than any big in the game. On offense, he'd be better off to have another guy able to get lower than him, and run around off-ball under the rim. It'd give him freedom and he wouldn't be undersized every night.

On defense, he could stick down low and keep his position, allowing Noah to run around do more. In reality, they'd both be PF/C combos. I think that improves the defense and it improves the offense. Boozer gets exposed extra with Noah, because Boozer can't handle any bit of space left to just him.

Noah following his game 1 up with an awesome half in game 2.

No other center in the NBA can cross someone over and break their ankles.

14 points, 5 boards, 3 assists and a steal on 7/7 in the first half.

I think Bynum right now is unanimously considered as the 2nd best center in the league, especially after that unconventional triple double performance he displayed against denver.

Duncan is a center who played PF. So I won't agree...but I do think Noah is great. Gasol is better, but Noah is still great.

The 26-year-old center scored 37 points by shooting 14-for-24 from the field and 9-for-10 from the free-throw line, grabbed 20 rebounds and dished out 10 assists in 46 minutes on the court. In doing so, Lee became the first player to notch a 30-20-10 performance since Kareem Abdul-Jabbar did it on March 5, 1976. Ironically, Abdul-Jabbar’s 35 points, 20 rebounds and 12 assists also came in a game against Golden State.
what's your opinion on David Lee?

I can't wait to see those guys matchup because to me at this point with Bynum out (and with his knee history, probably done as far as elite), they are the argument for that 2 spot just for right now
