Re: Could you guys tell me about Marquis Daniels?
I disagree that Quis has no J. His spotup midrange is pretty solid, maybe even a bit above average. Outside of 18' or so, any shot is a brick. But the word "pullup" is not in his vocabulary. If he puts the ball on the floor he's taking it to the rim.
His one true asset to a team is slashing, he's great at it. Not the best finisher in the world, but adequate. Put him in a lineup with Allen and you can't leave either, then if Quis takes it to the rack Ray'll score all day off the kickout.
His health is the biggest problem. It's one thing to have potentially long term injuries like Ford (fingers crossed), those are things you can anticipate and plan for, like signing Watson. Quis is a different animal, it's small nagging things that'll keep him out for 3 games, healthy for 4, miss 1. He's also not what I call a "spurt player." He's not the type of guy who can come in and give an instant impact, not that he can't produce in a 7th man type role, but that role doesn't allow him to accentuate himself. He doesn't need starter minutes, but needs big chunks to acclimate himself and warmup, 12+ at a time or so.
