I have ME1 and haven't completed. Still haven't picked up ME2.

Bioshock is kind of the opposite from what you guys are saying v. ME. Bioshock1 was IMO the best gaming experience thus far in this gaming gen, whereas Bioshock2 really didn't elevate the series. If anything it took a step backwards because the original was so damn near perfect.

I haven't played ME2, but I'll go ahead and say Bioshock1 > ME2.

So you haven't played ME2 but you're suggesting Bioshock is better? There are entirely differnet types of games. Incredibly irrelevant in my opinion.

Having played both MEs, basically if you turn on ME2 and play if for a while first, then go and play 1, you'll probably hate 1. But if you play 1 first, you'll most likely really enjoy it and then when you play 2, you'll be blown away.

If Mass Effect 1 is only like $20 bucks now then you should totally get it. That's a lot of value and a lot of bang for your buck. There's a lot of hours into that game, and even more if you want to go deeper and do more side missions.

I say get it. Even if its just a quick play-through. I know you don't necessarily need it to play Mass Effect 2, but it will surely make it more enjoyable.

Seriously? I was interested in it at first (and it's really cheap now) but thought it was crap.

As for ME1, play it, you won't regret it.
Well, maybe some parts involving the Mako.

whats Blue Dragon?

i liked Bioshock 1 a lot more than Bioshock 2 also. movement felt odd in Bioshock 2 but i guess part of it was you were playing the fatty. It just didn't feel as smooth as Bioshock 1 altogether though.

The depth and only collected storyline audios got really old playing Bioshock after so long. The first time was great since the helicopters, plasmids, and weapons were all new to you but i don't know, when BioShock2 came out it all felt so redundant and way too much of the same thing. Where as ME's have a lot more item and character customization depth(rpg).

ME1 should be pretty cheap on Steam. I definitely would not pay $20 for it. I'm sure you can get it off Steam for like $5 on a specials day. ME2 will probably stay at over $20 or over tho, unless you can find a used copy.
