The "this is how it always ends no matter the exact approach" result of socialism.

I’d have to imagine the president of every country can afford a steak and wouldn’t be ashamed to eat it.

What do you think US presidents ate during the Great Depression? I bet it wasn’t whatever the starving low income people ate.

People at the top wasting money is just....government. Nikki Haley put in 50 thousand dollar drapes or something stupid like that recently....

I’d be shocked if that weren’t happening everywhere.

She lives rent free in a swanky penthouse across the street from the U.N. Ironically the rent is only half as much as the suite at the Waldorf where past U.N. reps have lived for the past 50 years.

You think heads of state from poor countries are given food off a dollar menu or what? What happened here to bring about your apparent concern or likely fake outrage?

The president of Ghana was at a dinner in london with Naomi Campbell and others. Think they served boiled potatoes because many in ghana are hungry?

Id have to think heads of state eat quite well when out and about in the world. Do you think otherwise? Do you think a nice meal out of the country is keeping people poor? Or is this one of those "I dont like how this looks!" false displays of outrage from someone who knows it doesnt matter and has no impact on anything?

This is even weaker to me than the people who complain about presidents spending money on vacations when it cost millions of dollars for the president to be anywhere. For the record...on the issue of Trump blowing taxpayer money on golf trips I said:

I often wonder how they calculate the cost of the president doing something. It must include the cost of the immense level of security he travels with....and supplies for those people. The secret service needs hotel rooms and all...I suspect they feed them. All that factors in. But...

How much of that would still be paid no matter what he does?

Would it cost more for Trump to golf for a day than say....visit troops? Imagine how much security travels with the president internationally...the advance teams...the bomb sweeps and checkpoints.

Do they consider these things as...in excess of the normal day to day cost of protecting the president? Or just throw out a big number that ignores that half of it would be spent anyway?

This "Look...the president spent money!" shit is always laughable. And now we take it to food because...what? The optics?

If he ate dinner with some government elites with their private chefs and all that....is it better? Is anyone helped?

What meal can you imagine a head of state of a poor country having while out for the night internationally that wouldnt seem excessive compared to whatever his people eat? If he came here and got an order of wings from Pizza hut it would cost 980 of their dollars....
