I'm a big fan of Michael's overall catalogue. You're probably the first person i've ever heard that didn't like Dangerous but could tolerate HIStory
To be honest, I believe Michael's music post-BAD is actually slightly better in SOME ways than the music that came before it. Michael became a much more reflective and personal song-writer, and though as you said some of the material may not be dead-on relatable to some people, imo, his music had grown.
Dangerous is one of my favorite albums, period. I'm a fan of New Jack Swing and a lot of Riley's productions and I also think that's one of the reasons I mess with it heavy.
