Default Amatuer league's

I'm living in the UK now, and recently bought a basketball system, starting from scratch and learning the ropes...I am hopefully moving to the USA within the next year or 2 and wondering if there are any leagues to join for a bit of fun yet a bit competitive...over here I play soccer and just join a local team, is that the same case over there?...I'd be moving to the Boston region.

Thanks for you help

Plenty of leagues in the Boston area. You should have no problem finding one. You can go to a bunch of parks and find people running full courts almost all the time too if you need some more practice.

Thanks for your help, it's quite hard as I really have to teach myself how to shoot and stuff, just practicing from 15ft out (i think that the pros free throw line?)...logging my percentages and trying to watch some tape on how to shoot

That's not too bad my man. Try to develop an all around game though not just a midrange. Do you know what part of the Boston area you'll be in?
