IMO, he would be fine with a 3-4 year deal as a 6th man. That can be a significant boost, even if its at a measly 10.0 ppg.

I know this is part of the off season talk but at least be realistic when you make threads. How in the world are the Lakers suppose to land this guy? He's not going to come here or anywhere else for that matter for chump change. He opted out for a bigger longer term contract. He's not opting out to come to LA for a piddly little 2 year contract that might net him 5 maybe 6 million over the life of the contract at the most.

Gerald Wallace is and has been the best defensive small forward in the league for a couple of years now. He would be a HUGE upgrade over Metta if we could get him.

Maybe he is at a point in his career where he wants to win championships more than anything. In that case, the Lakers would have a shot. We need youth at the pg position more than anything else; not so much at the sf position which we already have with Ebanks.

Love Crash Wallace. Not sure we can afford him but that would be special. If we hadn't f*cked our draft up I'd be lobbying hard for Royce White but we'd have to figure out a trade to get him.
