I know what you mean, but I also saw it in a theater with a crappy audio system. I went back to see it later than day on a date, at a better theater and it was much better. Unlike Jackass where majority of the audience was white male under 30, this movie brought out the young and old, white and black, even some Uzbecks but they were in a cage in the back.
The movie is great! Definitely not one of those movies that the jokes from the previews are the best and the only funny parts. His encounter with a lady at her yard sale was classic. Then the rodeo gm interview, driving lessons, car shopping, the "after bath tussle" and the running of the Jew are all hilarious but there was no way you could air most of that on tv without the execs flipping out. How about the old couple with a bed and breakfast? Learning about "dining as a gentleman", driving around in the truck with the music turned on while the "protection" animal is in there, the rubber fist........all hilarious scenes. And there was plenty more. His "Not" joke after he is unsuccessfull with Pam showed his great timing once again.
