can jump rope help u in basketball i heard it can help your conditioning but does it help

yes jump roping does help your conditioning i do it every day for an hour and it helps your legs and arms and abs

Yes. If executed correctly, it's a great way to

a) train your feet (check chocogrease thread about this)
b) train your resistive abilities
c) train your condination
d) warm up for further training

Boxers are great rope jumpers, and you can understand that some boxing skills (resistance, feet reactivity and explosive strenght) are important in basketball as well.

yeah my friend is a boxer and he can jump the same as me except he is way faster.

Jumping rope will only help your vertical jump a bit, and then it will plateu. It will help your leg endurance and aerobic conditioning. If you want big hops you should look at the free program on http://verticaljumptraining.blogspot.com
