I would like Chauncey to start at PG and KCP start at SG, with Jennings coming off the bench and getting around 35 mins a game.

Think this would allow the Pistons to work the bigs while spreading the floor when the game starts, then as one of the bigs comes out to sub, you don't need as much space and can bring in Jennings for instant offense.

Come on man, Jennings isn't coming off the bench.

Didn't say it was going to happen and highly doubt it will. Jennings is basically guaranteed the starting spot. But ideally, I think that's how the rotation should work out.

Cause if you go talent, how does Stuckey start with Jennings? Add to that Smith Monroe and Drummond clogging the middle and you got a big traffic jam in Motown.

Because if you do go talent those are the two best for the positions right now. I think KCP has a chance to start but not at the beginning of the season. He's going to really have to work hard for it though. I think unless there's a significant injury there's no way Chauncey starts. Even Chauncey has said as much in interviews. He has came out and said that when he signed it was before the Jennings trade, which changes the situation. Jennings for sure will start at PG. I think Stuckey has SG almost locked up unless he really messes up in the preseason.

Unfortunately - I think we are going to start Billups,

I love him, but at 37 years old, his time is best spent coming off the bench and leading that second unit at either guard position. We need someone a bit bigger and more athletic to guard the opposing teams best guards as Jennings is only tiny.

I would love KCP to start, yes he is a bit raw, but give him a crack out of the blocks, let him learn on the job, mesh with the starters. He has the size, defensive potential and shooting potential to become a very solid SG in this league. I love his attitude and seems to have a bit of a killer instinct about him...

    But Billups will start,

If last night was any indication it will be Billups. I think he's probably a bit too old too. They must like his outside shooting and must be hoping the big guys help him out on D. I don't like the idea of it. I love that he came back to Detroit and I think he can contribute quite a bit. I just think his best years are behind him. KCP clearly can't start yet. He was good defensively but he's so inconsistent with his shot yet that he needs to get comfortable scoring in the NBA first.

I almost think KCP can be a defensive specialist at the 2 guard, and his offense can develop in the years to come. I would like to give him plenty of time with the starters so he does get easy looks when they do collapse on the bigs or defense the iso of Jennings... The shots the KCP has been missing are not open looks. He has a better handle than I first thought too,

This would be such an easy question to answer if Stuckey had an outside shot...

Well, it's definitely not Stuckey now.

UPDATE: Rodney Stuckey has suffered a fracture of the distal phalanx on his right thumb. He is scheduled to have surgery on Friday and a timeline for his return will be determined following that procedure.
I'm guessing that makes him out for the next couple months. Billups will be the starter and KCP will back him up. Singler could get some minutes there too.

6 weeks out for Stuckey according to the latest, not good - but lets see who steps up, KCP Singler or Billups...

On another note, let us say the Kings took Burke with #7, and Mclemore fell to us at #8 (which almost nearly happened) Would he automatically be starting at the 2 guard for us considering he was arguably going to be drafted as high as #1?...

I'm not certain he would be. He hasn't been that impressive yet either. There was far more hype around him though so I think that kind of helps McLemore's case. I think in Sacramento he'll have a hard time starting over Thornton so I think here it would've been tough for him to start right away. If McLemore was here though I think the fans would be really upset if he wasn't starting.

I wish the Pistons would just trade him already. He will be a free agent after the season is up thankfully. I actually wouldn't mind having a guard like Evan Turner at the 2.

Evan Turner? I would say Stuckey has been more productive than he has. Depending on how fast KCP catches on to things I think Stuckey is one of the guys they will use as trade bait this year though.

I think I would be the minority but I really like Turners game and his upside - I think he will have a slow but long progression - seems like a good complimentary piece, kind of like Iguadala without the elite athleticism or elite defense. Last year was a 13.3/6.3/4.3 guy with a steal and 37% from deep...

In saying all of that, not sure he is the best fit for our team - although I would swap him for Stuckey in a heart beat, as this kid still has a lot of room to grow...
