That doesn't happen to be your reliable source?

Great deal for the Raptor's. The excitement that hasn't been there since VC left, as well as someone who's a threat from deep.

(Excitement as in his ability to rock the rim.)

I really like this signing if we get it. Gives us a solid SG off the bench and brings back that "Excitement" . I know we wanted Salmons but this is way better than nothing.

He's at around 4-5 mil /yr range, I wonder how much BC is giving freddy, i saw what he did last year when he score 30+ ina bunch of games. It will be a huge lost to the pacers.

I hope this deal happens, i am a huge fan of Fred Jones, even though we all know Jason Richardson should have won that dunk contest. Anyways, back to the Raptors. I think fred could be the starting 2 guard on this team with mo or parker playing the 3. Either way, there is some depth now at those two possitions. His outside shooting may be suspect but he has gotten better each year he has been in the league and i think that trend should continue. Colangilo, make this happen.

Ya he is gonna be a good combo guard for the Raptors. He will be an exciting player with his high flyin dunks.

peterson, parker, bargnani, garbajosa

we'll be alright. we should be more concerned about our defense.

i think the rebounding will take care of itself too.

our guards are above average when it comes to rebounding, and our forwards are average... we'll be alright.

Lets all wait for the official signing of Jones.
If this goes down with the Garbo signing and signing of our 2nd round pick Tucker, the roster should be finalized.
Looks good, maybe even for the 7th or 8th seed if they come together

Don't plan on this happening....if the rumours are true about al Harrington going to Indiana, then they won't have the cap for him. And also, they are close to signing Jimmie "Snap" Hunter. So basically, Fred Jones is wrapped up between our little fingers and isn't leaving. Unless he backs out like Salmons. I think he was afraid that the Raps are turning to good and he couldn't handle it...

i think Salmons had no idea who Anthony Parker was and was under the assumption that the starting SG role would be open for him.

once he realized that he'd have to come off the bench, he backed out.

atleast... thats the only reason i can think of.

I like this deal much better than the proposed ones for Salmons and House. Jones ought to be exciting, finish off some run and gun moves in spectacular fashion, and he has time to get better. Brings something new to the team.

I think so too.

I think he looked at our roster and saw Mo Pete, Pj Tucker, Anthony Parker, Joey Graham, TJ Ford, Jose Calderon, Jorge Garbajosa and wondered where he would fit in among those players that play his postions.
