But Nicolas Batum gave a great deal of credit for the win to Andre Miller, who had an effective night against Derrick Rose.

"We know that Derrick Rose is a good offensive player," Batum said. "But you have to play defense, too. He can't guard Dre. You gotta play defense. He can't play defense, so that's why we put Dre inside and try to attack him. He did a great job. Had 25 (points) and 11 (assists)."

Rose had 36 points and six assists.

I'm actually glad he said this. I think Rose is the type of guy that will take this personally and now make it an ambition to substantially improve his defense. Thanks for the motivation Batum

Yeah he's definitely improved his defense, but he's nowhere near what he needs to be. And he's got the tools for it too.

Well said.

Although knocking Andre Miller on his ass for the 5th time in his career at the end of the half had to have pumped him up some too. Play some defense Andre, you just got owned for 36. LOL

Batum is a scrub who doesnt play defense, doesnt hustle, and cant hit open jumpers. With Noah the Bulls have the best D in the league and rose is a big part of that. Miller has a good night and Batum thinks his team is legit? Naw

This. Scoring 25 on someone who supposedly can't play D' is great, but Rose dropped 36 on him. What does that mean, nothing? Miller clearly can't play D' at all if guys are dropping nearly 40 on him when he's "having a good night".

Thats what I was thinking too.. clearly Miller's defense is even worse then Roses if Rose dropped 36 on him.

As if our boy DRose needs more motivation, but i'll take it. lol

This will definately be an eye opener for Derrick even if it wasn't deserved.

Regardless he pays attention to this type of stuff and it will have an influence on him especially the next time we play the Blazers. I wouldn't be surprised if Derrick dunked on Batum after what he said.
