$500bn sounds reasonable for a non-war year.. We had sequestration levels at $550 billion for a few years there, and I think it worked fine. If you want more money, close down some military bases in foreign soil. So a proper cut should be to around $500 billion.
What's your opinion on NATO defense spending being increased? Do you think this is a result of Trump and his administration?
Of course, if this were to happen, ideally, and I'm assuming you would agree, this should result in a decrease in our spending.
