My only real issue with living there is the pollution. I also don't like sales tax.

I'm not a huge fan of big cities, but I've never experienced Los Angeles in person before, so it's tough to say.

I'm not a big fan of places where you need to drive everywhere (you need a newspaper or a coke, where's the car) and the traffic drives me nuts over there. The weather is godly though.

Never been to LA except one time when I drove through, but I definitely like cities where you can get stuff done by just walking. I was Las Vegas once and wanted to walk around and the strip, of course, is horrible for that. However, once I got to the old, downtown part of Vegas I felt myself get way more comfortable, I realized I got way less tense.
However, my understanding of LA is that it has changed in the last 10-15 years to the point where you can find some of the cool aspects of NYC there which for me is pockets of a highly literate population and cool music. My understanding is that LA has become much less plastic in the last few years.
Also as a film geek, I'm sure there would be lots of stuff to do.

Knicks all da way
Re: would u or would u not wanna live in LA?
I live a 15 min train ride from NYC, and let me tell you guys. Big city life is not for everyone. I love it because I have a few days off and can enjoy some of its non-nightlife extremities. I can spend half the day in central park just walking and talking. You can walk all day actually and not realize you haven't seen anything yet. To top it off, you can take the train everywhere so you don't have to worry about parking or traffic. If LA is anything like that, than sure I would love to live there. Although it's true, NYC cost of living IS very high.

Belair, Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Malibu and Santa Monica are great for the scenery, restaurants and nightlife. I love to visit L.A. Wouldn't want to live there.

I'd love to live in the great parts of LA like Santa Monica, Beverley Hills, etc. but not so much in the areas like Compton.

Not in a million years. I can see why someone with a different personality type than mine would, but you couldn't pay me to.
