Where can someone get some of these more retro kicks? I've never been a sneakerhead (only owned like one pair of Jordans, one of Lebrons), so I really have no clue.

Shit those Shaq Attaq reissues are going to be 160 plus shipping... Don't want them that badly. The Kamikazes are only 100.

I remember seeing those here and there around cal Bay Area. I also remember them being empty most of the time. Good place for basketball shorts and Nike hoodies iirc.

As for the op, loved the penny's, questions and answers.

Old school Foot Lockers just had shoes and a few clothing items.

World Foot Locker had apparel and shoes. Then they decided to close them down here and gone back to a smaller footlocker.

Well yes, the technology becomes dated. By the shoes from like '96 forward are of similar tech wise to today. The XI was the first shoe to feature Nike Zoom (the best technology IMO) ...

Jordan's have become a luxury item, sure. But also the vast majority of "retros" are stripped of the original technologies, because dumb collectors don't know the difference and will purchase regardless. Plus they won't being wearing them to play ball in ... so the performance aspects aren't needed. Jordan's are a status symbol for casual wear.

No one balls in retro Jordans, at least not casual people. Nate Robinson just wore a pair the other day v.s. the Heat. They still are very high functioning ball shoes. Your feet won't "get hurt" when the originals have the performance technologies still inside of them.

A lot of today's stuff is very cheaply made. No longer is durable and protective leather used. Comparing them to Chuck Taylors is BEYOND idiotic. Plus, the performance Jordan is whatever is that year's model. Not the retros. Those still have technology inside of them.

You clearly don't know what you're talking about, so I figured I'd educate you.
