Really! because the "rebound stealer" couldn't grab one damn board tonight. Lopez' = charmin.

Lopez will be a good backup defender and rebounder at center. Dorsey will be a good backup defender and rebounder at center. I agree that Dorsey is a better defender, but size helps a lot. It is the same reason why I think some SF are better defenders than Dorsey. I think guys who can play the 2, 3, and 4 are really better defenders, even if they don't get the credit. I do think being bigger and being a great defender is more rare to find so Lopez could be considered more valuable than Dorsey. I don't care about Summer League, either, as Beasley just went 1 for 13. Does that mean he is going to do that every game? Lopez will be okay.

And anyone who watched Stanford knows that Stanford was a very good individual rebounding team. Robin was not able to get great position a lot of times as he was away from the basket, but Stanford almost always had 4 good rebounders on the court. It was one of the keys as to why they had a good season. If you really want to see how good of a rebounder he is, look at his offensive rebounding numbers. On offense they ran a more traditional offense where the Lopez brothers were the guys inside. On defense Robin was more like the #3 rebounding option when either Hill or Finger (which was most of the time) were in the game.

I think Lopez will take a little while to adjust, but he is going to have to get used to sticking to the paint in the NBA. That to me is something that people are overlooking. With that said, I think his ability to be a little more versitile will help him in the long run as the Suns start to use him more in years 2 and 3.
