Default Diener picks up his option

Not exactly unexpected, would've been downright shocked if he hadn't picked it up. The extra $1.7M in cap space would've been nice, but still glad he's back. Runs the offense very well in his limited minutes and seems like one of the most liked guys among the rest of the team.

i think he realized there was no more money coming his way.

I dont really care if he sits on the bench, just dont wanna see him getting many minutes. I know a lot of Pacer fans like Travis.. I just dont see the appeal

Don't get me wrong, I'd rather he never see the floor unless it's a blowout. But as a 3rd insurance type PG he's solid. Just seems like a good locker room influence, the rest of the guys seems to like him, always cracking jokes and whatnot on the bench, keeping things loose.

The differences between this past season and 07/08 in the social structure of the team was so night and day it's crazy. Other than that brief little spat between TJ and Jack against the Bucks (I think) they seemed like a high school team.

Is it just me or is Travis Diener the EXACT same player as Scott Brooks?

Just look at the numbers, it's eery.

Only thing I remember about Brooks's game is a mental picture I have of him in a Rockets jersey. Seems to have the makings of being a solid coach though. O'Brien's replacement?

Perhaps. Perhaps.
