I doubt any coach would've won a game or 2 more with that sad group

Yet D'Antoni gets ripped for losing with a team that is equally if not more sad than what Magic did

Hey, Gts, its great that you are posting again.
As I stated in my first post in this thread, maybe he can coach again, Somebody thinks he probably can't .
I just didn't feel its right to rant at another coach's struggles when he doesn't have a great record either.
I think there's one key intangible too. Having great assistants.
Larry Bird heavily relied on Rick Carlisle when he coached Indiana.
Phil insisted to hire Tex Winter at LA.
Rivers didn't win another ring after Thibs left.
And now I think Mike Brown is not doing great at Cleveland and struggled in LA bec Mike Malone is no longer assisting him. Same with Mark Jackson with the Warriors. Yes, Golden State is still ok but I think they were rated much higher after acquirinig Iggi,.

Magic back tracked on all his comments a day ago..lol apologized said he was wrong... Funny thing is as much as Magic talks about all he learned from Dr Buss seems he missed some important lessons.

good assistant coaches are key. One guy can't do it all and the assistants have to be on the same page.
