I really think they should go after Al Jefferson this offseason. It makes sense. They need a legit starting C (would go along great with KG if they decide to bring him back). Plus he has history with the Celtics. I don't know how long Rondo will be out but until he comes back...
C: Al Jefferson
6th man: Pierce
When Rondo comes back that team would be pretty stacked. Even without Rondo that team is still a top 5 team out East with Jefferson.
If they trade Pierce and KG and free up some room to sign Jefferson even that would be a good offseason. They can build around a core of Jefferson, Rondo, Green and Sullinger.
6th man: Bradley
That's a solid team right there. Definitely a playoff team.
The thing is they could bring back Garnett and Pierce next season and when Rondo returns they'll easily be a playoff team. But if they want to really compete one more time with Garnett & Pierce they really need someone like Al Jefferson or another quality starting C. Move KG back over to the 4, start Jeff Green, bring Pierce off the bench. They could compete for one more championship if Danny Ainge pulls off a good deal.

I'd like the Celtics to get Millsap if we are going for yet another run with the Big Three, which I'm heavily against. Some fans want Jefferson but I hope the Cs don't try to sign him. He's literally offense-only which is bad for a big man. I'd take a guy who rebounds and plays defense like Asik over him. If we're gonna start rebuilding, (which I hope we do) then none of this matters because we won't need their help.
