Rookie Race
Randy Foye scored a career-high 25 points on
Tuesday to jum p ahead ofCraig Sm ith (7.4)for
fourth place on the rookie scoring list at 7.5
points-per-game.

Looking Ahead
M innesota picked up a 100-98 victory against the Bulls in their first gam e
ofthe week. Four players tallied 15 or m ore points for the Tim berwolves in
winning their second consecutive gam e. The Bulls have gone 13-3 in their
last 16 gam es and two of their losses have com e at the hands of the
Wolves.

The rest of the week features gam es against Toronto (tonight), Seattle
and New Jersey. All of the m atches are part of hom e and road, back-to-
back sets. M ore than half of M innesota's gam es in Decem ber cam e as
part ofback-to-backs.

Tonight's m atchup in Toronto will send the Wolves against a team that
has won five oftheir last seven,but lost four in a row before their current
streak. Friday's opponent, Seattle, is in a sim ilar situation, with a two-
gam e winning-streak after losing six consecutive gam es. The Wolves close
out the week with a gam e at New Jersey on Saturday. The Nets are in third
place in the Atlantic Division with an 11-17 record. They've lost three in a
row entering play tonight against the Rockets.

Don't forget that Friday's gam e is the Tim berwolves Go Hollywood True
Blue night. All fans at the gam e will receive a free m ovie ticket to the AM C
Rosedale 14 theatre and halftim e will feature a contest for a fan to win a
trip to Los Angeles courtesy of NWA World Vacations. All that and m ore
this Friday at 7 p.m . when the Wolves face the Sonics.

Garnett to Host Block Party
Tim berwolves forward Kevin Garnett is just four blocks away from reaching
the 1,500 m ark for his career. This season the forward is averaging 1.8
blocks-per-gam e, which is 0.4 off of his career-high set in the 2003-04
season. If this average holds, Garnett will tie the third best figure ofhis
career,with the only higher season averages com ing in 2003-04 and his
2.1 average in the 1996-97 season.

Garnett is currently 28th in NBA history in blocks and there are just six
active players ahead of him on the list. One fam iliar nam e on the list
ahead of KG is Kevin M cHale. In 13 seasons, M cHale produced 1,690
blocks, which was good for 19th place entering the season. Hakeem
Olajuwon is the all-tim e leader with 3,830 blocks.
