Re: T Wolves Press Conference: Any one watching???
The T-wolves have 3 or 4 possible all-stars: Foye, Jefferson, Green or Telfair
You could even throw McCants in the mix, but I don't know anymore. It's all up to the players and how they grow. I think Jefferson and Foye have more of a chance to become all-stars than the others.
I got both the KG conference and Wolves conference on DVD. Telfair actually said he's focused on basketball. That makes me happy. If the guy proves the critics wrong, it would be great.

I've tried rooting for Telfair too...but he sucks. He can't shoot, isn't a good defender and and never gets the ball to guys in the right spots. But you are right about Jefferson, McCants and especially Foye...Minnesota fans will love Ryan Gomes. He's an underrated player and a great community guy.

I still can't believe the Celtics let the Wolves have Gomes. His maturity and leadership would have made him the perfect veteran for the Celtics to have when they transition away from their "Super 3".
I really wish the Celtics could have either kept Delonte West or Gomes. If they kept one of the 2 I'd say they'd be the favorites for the title. Both would obviously be a wet dream. Gomes is known to go to for 18 or 20 pts when given the touches and West is a rock solid glue guy who makes shots. As it is they got one questionable point guard with no jumper... and absolutely nothing off the bench unless Tony Allen is ready to happen, that could be a viable comboguard to fill in for Rondo/Allen when they sit, but I don't think he's good enough. Yeah Pierce/Garnett can each play 40+ but if you've got title hopes do you really want to do that? Gomes would allow both players to sit a heck of a lot more than they're going to do at this point. Wish the Celts could have gotten Hassell in the deal (to saKf's chagrin).
Re: T Wolves Press Conference: Any one watching???
West is the one they're really gonna miss. Doesn't make mistakes and hits shots. He's got guts, too.
What use does Seattle have for him when they've got both Ridnour and Watson? Boston should have tried HARD to replace West with a guy with a similar contract.

He just needs to work on his shot...
Gerald Green has a ton more things to work on other than his jumper, which is actually pretty good.

You're right. The trade was probably a done deal and then Ainge decided to throw in Gomes. Or, just maybe, Gomes' inclusion may have been necessary for the trade to go through. Think about it. If Ainge could've kept Gomes out of the deal... he would have. I love Gomes, but he's not nearly good enough to be a dealbreaker in a trade for Kevin Garnett. Nobody "let" anybody have anybody; he obviously had to be in the trade for it to work.
Losing him and West really, really hurts though. Both were ideal role players who could do a bit of everything.
