Why can a guy like Terry be so clutch, when Kobe can't?
Is it a gene thing? A will power thing?
Why does the JET take off in pressure situations and the mamba constantly needs a bailout?
What do you guys think? Why do things work out differently for different guys?

I honestly don't get how it works with guys like Lou Williams, Jason Terry, Joe Johnson, etc who are good role players most of the game, and then become clutch machines all of a sudden

Because there is actually a human factor to basketball(and all sports), which stats can't quantify. The people who say that clutch does not exist, are people that have never played sports in their lives.

Smells like a troll thread.

Because in the final minute of games Kobe is hands down the most predictable player in NBA history. Because of this and the fact that he refuses to not be the one taking the last shot, Kobe takes stupid ass shots and makes his team lose more games in the clutch than he makes them win.

Statistically, Kobe is one of the greatest clutch players in history (clutch isn't only defined by game winners).
Not sure what you're talking about, but yes, Terry is clutch as well.

Re: Why can a guy like Terry be so clutch, when Kobe can't?
Kobe is the first or second option offensively. Terry is a guns for hire third or fourth option. When the defensive focus isn't on you, the chances to be clutch are probably greater...because you're sitting in a corner. Teams used to compile handbooks on how to contain Kobe (Shane Battier, Rockets). No team is strategizing on how to stop Jason Terry.

If you are so knowledgeable of the stats, mind providing them?
