Same situation with Skylar. I think her even staying with Walt and going so far as to launder his money is unrealistic. Any rational person would've left him and gone to the authorities a long time ago, especially if they had children and found out that drug dealers had sent henchmen to your house.

Well it doesn't help that Skyler is written to be unlikeable, but just think about how she treated Walt in season 1. She's the typical nagging and annoying wife. Also she ended up ****ing Ted just to get back at Walt. The thing that really pisses me off is that she had a chance to leave, Walt gave her the divorce but she stuck around I mean WTF. And make no mistake Walt is a dispicable character as well. I don't think you're supposed to like either or these characters but Walt is main character so by default most people root for him.

That's what it really comes down to. He's the protagonist so people root for him when he orchestrates the killing of 10 people in 2 minutes or blows up a rival drug dealer or pulls one impossible McGuyver type nonsense stunt after the other to do something despicable. Funny thing is, like Tony Soprano before him, if he doesn't get his comeuppance in the finale, people will be pissed. There will be plenty of people calling for his head by the end, you'll see.

But for now he's the golden boy and his wife is the bad guy because she has an issue with finding out her husband is a mass murdering drug lord

Yeah don't get me wrong, I know that Walt is still a immensely fvcked up character and he's pretty much in this mess because of his ego. People relate to Walt because we've gone through the story with him. We've seen him turn from some weak, under appreciated science teacher to a calculated, ruthless king pin of an empire. It's the classic underdog story of someone taking control of his life after being dealt a bad hand. I'm just looking to see how Walt goes out, I honestly don't expect him to just walk away scott free. Oh and another reason that people hate Skyler that no one wants to admit is that she's not very attractive. If she was a hot trophy wife people wouldn't hate her as much Although I expect a lot of people view's about her changed when she stuck by Walt in the last couple episodes.

Had Walt risen to the top in a legal venture, such as a top-selling chemical production company and displayed the same behavior (growing his balls back), Skyler would have reacted in similar fashion.

The "danger" is a ruse for Skyler. It's all about her. The fact that her submissive husband of 16+ years is taking back control of his life is the real issue to her.
