Magic was probably outplayed by Stockton in the 1988 WCSF
Worth noting. Watching the series, they didn't defend each other but Stockton was the most player in the series. He was doubled by Cooper and whoever else was nearby everytime he went across the halfcourt line. He even had a 29/20/5 game in the game 7. Stockton was a monster at times.

Also tied the record for assists in a playoff game in game 5 only to lose on a gamewinning shot by Cooper iirc.

That might be the best pg stat line i've ever seen in the modern era. Insane.

Re: Magic was probably outplayed by Stockton in the 1988 WCSF
he was also outplayed by isiah thomas in the nba finals
and the pistons should be the 1988 champs. but a bogus call and 2 free throws by kareem was what saved their season

No he wasn't. He got outplayed in game 6 when Isiah had that legendary quarter but outside of that he was the best player in that series and should've won FMVP.

What's with the "GOAT pure PG" bullshit?
Magic played that position like nobody could, and has yet to reach. One series where the 2 in question didn't even guard each other isn't going to change that.

Stockton is underrated.
Dude has a legit argument for top 15 all time.
