Re: Coach of the Year
The difference is, Jerry Sloan has proven to be a winner. Year after year. He's had what, 1-2 losing seasons? Not too sure about that fact, but I know his record is damn impressive.
Sam on the other hand, has a record of futility. He was exposed as a horrible coach last season, and was on the brink of getting canned. Now his team is finally playing well, thanks to a major offseason trade that upgraded the team in the one area they needed major upgrading, and he gets a bunch of the credit? Hell no. You don't become THAT much better of a coach in that short of a timespan.
Hell, just listen to an interview of his. He spews nonsense. I can't stand the guy. He's not all that smart, he's not hardnosed, he just doesn't have the qualities of a great coach.
