Lmao you can put the crackpipe down now, crawford and rose for carter not in this lifetime, remember the nets gm is rod thorne not isiah, as for artest first off i dont want him the guys a pyscho and would blow up in ny, and why the hell would the kings want francis, next years roster is going to be the same as this years roster with the bulls pick. you can forget about the pipedreams of guys like garnett and oneal and carter, no one is dumb enough to take our crap and give us franchise players

Same lineup. Instead of Jefferies I'd let Lee start next year. It's time for him to be a star.

If we're going to get Artest then it's going to be
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=25~3000~165~2754&teams=18~18~2 3~23
or
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/trademachine?teams=23~18&players=2754~3000~165~25& sendto=23~18~23~18&from=18~23~18~23

I don't like Kenny Thomas' contract...but we have to take on something to get Artest. He doesn't really even solve all of our problems but he does solve some. The Knicks are an atrocius defensive team (even with Jerome James and Jared Jeffries). With him, we automatically gain some defense. And is Quincy Douby any good? Just wondering because he was apparently a great outside shooter in college...

So our team would then look like this:
Curry
Lee
Artest
Collins (if these last few games aren't a fluke, this kid NEEDS to start ahead of Francis)
Marbury

and on the bench
Morris/James
Rose/-Thomas-
Balkman
Francis/Nate
Nate/-Douby-

and we have two draft picks this year...

ok go ahead, yell at me about how that would never happen

That deal works for me Skills. Bye Crawford and Frye. I know I won't miss neither of them.

Not a bad trade but I want Lee at the 3.
Artest is great tho.

But we have only 1 draft pick...philly has our second pick for a random
reason lol.

Douby would help as well. Boy can shoot.

We don't need a big name C/PF, that'll just further slow down Curry's and Lee's development. The team needs solid guards that will be able to play 20-25 minutes a night with Marbury and Francis getting older, and being injury prone. The draft could probably take care of that though.

Now that Acie Law isn't going to fall far enough for the Knicks to get him, they should seriously look into drafting Arron Afflalo or Alando Tucker. I'm not sure why we don't have a second round pick, but whatever.

We also need to buyout Jerome James (**** outta here, this guy should never start). Francis can stay until his contract runs out, but if he gets injured and misses 40+ games, he should be bought out too.

Lineup:
PG - Marbury / Collins / Tucker
SG - Crawford / Francis / Robinson
SF - Balkman / Jefferies
PF - Lee / Frye / Rose
C - Curry / Cato / James

isnt patterson a registered sex offender in the state of ny, but anyway i say no to patterson how many more of these type of guys are we going to bring in, enough if im dolan isiah has no money at all to spend we have to start getting under the cap no more of these 30 mil mle signings. yes we need a franchise player and i would love to get one but its not realistic

This is not a bad trade and I like the starting line up... Only concern is how good is Artest without the ball in his hands... I am not sure if Francis (he needs to go to Cleveland!) or James will be on the team... Thomas can be a servicable C/PF he can score around the basket and do the little things but I dont want that contract...
