Default Cultural Differences

Hey, so I thought it'd be cool if we compiled a list of countries we've been to and some of the cultural differences that we experienced.

In Rwanda the men are very affectionate with each other.
It is very common for men to hold hands, sit on each other's laps, etc.
I learned that the hard way.

In Japan, you don't WALK and EAT or DRINK at the same time.
If you buy a can of pop at a vending machine you finish it there and continue on.
Same goes for ice cream and whatnot.

Also, it is normal to lift up your bowl to eat your rice, whereas in Korea you NEVER lift up your bowl. Ever.

I don't believe this one. I've seen Japanese eating a sandwich on their way to school.

in egypt guys hate gays yet all of them (the non farmers atleast) walk around with too much cologne, spiked hair, crappy ugly euro trash glasses and tight ripped jeans and tight tshirts and holding hands, so to the western world they'd look like gays but to them they are just two buddies hanging out, who hate gays.

in norway everyone wears converse allstars, like they are the style thing to do, nothing can top converse in oslo.

In Canada people put gravy and nacho cheese on their french fries and random strangers give you marijuana.

In France it's okay to slightly hit the car parked in front of you or behind you.

of course they do. The gays stole their culture, and now everyone think they're gay.
