Default VC To The Raps?

http://blogs.thescore.com/raptorblog...-vince-carter/

RaptorBlog(Scott): One of the reasons a lot of Raptors fans might be interested in your possible free agency plans is that a lot of fans hold on to the hope that you’ll finish your career in a Toronto Raptors uniform. Assuming the Raptors submitted an appealing offer in that situation, is that something you would consider?

Vince: Of course it’s something that I would definitely consider. And it’s something in the free agency this year, once everything was worked out with Phoenix and I was a free agent, that was a question I was asked by my family and by my agent. He’s like ‘what if?’ and I was like, ‘hey, definitely, we’ll hear what they have to say.’ So I never rule it out.

How would you guys feel about a final return for VC?

Honestly, any animosity that I've had towards him has faded by now. Am I still annoyed that we got absolutely nothing for him? Yeah, but that's part him and part management at the time. If he wants to end his career here backing up Derozan I wouldn't mind.

why?

why would we want him?
why would he want us?

I think lots of players are nice about it but they wouldn't actually sign here.
I remember Ray Allen was asked if he would play here and he said yes, but would he actually chose a losing team over a contender? I doubt it.

Let's not kid ourselves. Raps fans don't want him back and he does not want to come back.

He'd serve no purpose here and he's lying about being open to returning here.

History aside, this makes no sense for either party.

its not about the past anymore. i dont care about what he did. time has moved on.

why would the raps want him? how does he help us in terms of rebuilding?

why would he sign with the raps? he is at the late stages of his career. he should be part of a winning franchise that is competing for the title or for the playoffs. We are not even considering the playoffs (only in BC's stupid mind we are).

We dont need. he doesnt need us.

ciao

If was still an effective player, I wouldn't mind if the Raps picked him up. But he's on the downside of his career (understatement), and wouldn't help this team at all. So no for me.

don't mind him back to toronto..

if he was close to any decent man then he should return and redeem himself.

made a name for HIMSELF here in toronto and now he should repay the TEAM but more importantly the FANS
