Hornets blow out Kings 90-72
This new team for the Hornets look dangerous.
Thats probably what was going through the mind of the Kings when they saw the new look Hornets come to town. The Hornets struggled with their rebounds, blocks, and getting to the line, but made up for it with stellar 3 point shooting, and smart perimeter defense.
Chris Paul led the way with 22 points and 10 assists. He made 4 three points in the victory. Newcomer Chris Bosh shone as well, dropping 24 points and gathering 6 rebounds. Another new fellow for the Hornets, Caron Butler, added in 16 points. Jason Terry and Richard Hamilton combined for 14 points. The rest of the front line for the Hornets was quiet, but did what they had to do to win.
"We're all very happy with the big win tonight, and look forward to playing Oklahoma again. We realize there are some things that need to be addressed, but for now we're just gonna enjoy what we got." - Richard Hamilton
Marcus Thorton of the Kings was a big player for them, scoring 15 points. Although missing 6 three pointers didn't help much. Tyreke evans had 14 points and 6 assists. Demarcus Cousins had 13 points and 7 rebounds.
A good game, but the Hornets still seek improvements. Their rebounding will end up biting them if it isn't addressed. Even after adding a deeper front court there is still an issue. Although you cannot complain much when the win column looks like it does.
@NOHFan: Happy to see the new guys chippin in. keep the wins comin, and teach OKC a lesson!
