Default I think Minny got ripped off....

In the past, I loved watching Minny play...I love KG......

But what is going on now? I can't see Minny ball being very
entertaining at all any more.....

What's there to see now? R. Foye???? Oh ya, that 'll bring em in!?!?!

McFail has ruined this team.......

Mchale did what he had to do. Garnett was probably going to opt out next season anyways. Rather than lose KG for nothing, they got 3 nice young players in return (Green, Jefferson, and Gomes). Throw that in with the expiring $11M contract of Ratlff combined with the expiring contracts of Ricky Davis and the future is looking a tad brighter. They'll be well under the cap and could be looking to make a big splash in the free agent bidding. The only bad thing is that they won't have a first round pick next year (unless they're pick is a top 10 draft as they owe it to the Clippers, but they get 2 in 09 (own and Boston's). Nice way to build for the future. With KG making nearly $20M, it puts a big handcuff on what the franchise can do.

This should be the future line up for next season...

PG Foye - Jaric - Telfair
SG Green - McCants - Hassell
SF Brewer - Gomes
PF Jefferson - Smith
C Blount - Madsen

Gerald Green is a highlight reel waiting to happen.

Not to mention Al Jefferson is a huge talent looking to probably push 20 and 10 averages next year.... no he's not as versatile as KG but his legs are about 10 years fresher, and so are the other 6 guys they received. I don't see how you can believe this was a rip off.

The Lakers only got 3 players and one draft pick out of Shaq and only one was young and developing (Caron Butler) while Brian Grant was going into his 11th season and basically useless with his knees and Lamar Odom was a do-it-all guy.... comparative to Ryan Gomes game, Gomes just needs to develop it. So the Wolves definitely got a better deal for KG than the Lakers got for Shaq. Just to put it into perspective.

ILuvThisGame is 100% right, the worst deal of the century was
the Shaq trade....

The only decent player I think Minny got was Jefferson. He is good overall,
but not 1/100 as much fun to watch as KG.

Foye has a long way to go, but he might be really good some day
too.

Otherwise, boring team to watch.

Hassell and Blount are gone. Hassell is a Maverick and Blount is a Heat.
