One is smart humor. The other is slapstick. Both are hilarious, but it really depends on your mood and intelligence.

Borat got some of the loudest crowd laughter that i've ever heard in a theater. I mean huge laughs where you couldn't hear what the hell was going on right after! You definitely have to see it.

I know what you mean, but I also saw it in a theater with a crappy audio system. I went back to see it later than day on a date, at a better theater and it was much better. Unlike Jackass where majority of the audience was white male under 30, this movie brought out the young and old, white and black, even some Uzbecks but they were in a cage in the back.

The movie is great! Definitely not one of those movies that the jokes from the previews are the best and the only funny parts. His encounter with a lady at her yard sale was classic. Then the rodeo gm interview, driving lessons, car shopping, the "after bath tussle" and the running of the Jew are all hilarious but there was no way you could air most of that on tv without the execs flipping out. How about the old couple with a bed and breakfast? Learning about "dining as a gentleman", driving around in the truck with the music turned on while the "protection" animal is in there, the rubber fist........all hilarious scenes. And there was plenty more. His "Not" joke after he is unsuccessfull with Pam showed his great timing once again.

What really got me was the bear in the back of the ice cream truck. The scene with the kids running and screaming from the truck had me on the floor. Too bad that was probably staged, but classic nonetheless.

yeah i think a lot of it was staged, the pam anderson, the conference hall, the prostitue was in on it. it was still funny but I'm really not sure most of it was real. even on the subway i think it might have been staged.

Singing the "national anthem" at the rodeo wasnt staged though....you gotta admit, that took some balls.

haven't seen it. will see it soon; look's hilarious.

remember, though, there's a fairly significant country in central asia that doesn't find it funny at all.

"I still have the smell of your testis in my moustache"

BTW I don't believe the running through the banquet was staged.

probably was.

borat: 'hi my name a borat, whats your name?'

guy: 'my name is mind your own ****ing business'

the part where he trys to kiss some guy and the guy is like 'kiss me and ill ****in pop your balls' is hilarious

some of the parts where he's in public aren't staged though, like where he's *********ing while looking at the bra and panties through the window and the part where he's taking a ****.
