Practice mode is better than the actual game play.(im a 2k fan btw) you get to shoot around with howard, bron, kobe, wade on one side and Melo,roy,CP3, and stodimre on the other...

did they install signature shots like 2k did? cuz brons and kobes seems pretty good

finished playing the demo

pros:

-like the shot and dunk animations.
-when its loading you can shoot around with the players the poster above mentioned.
-simple and nice user interface.

cons:

-players look like predator when have certain facial expressions.
-still feel like an arcade.
-uniforms look fake.
-tooo easy to make an alley-oop.
-tooo easy to block and steal.
-if you miss your first 2-3 shots you will suck the entire game, if you make them you will nail everything.

if nba2k9 is a 10, i give this game like an 8.5.

I have to say that Live just doesn't feel like my kind of game.

Pro
The shoot around was a cool idea before games.

Cons
didn't like the the dunk animations, something just felt off
Didn't feel like I actually had any control of my defender when attempting to jump lanes.

Im going to try to give it ago but my first hour with the game wasn't pleasant

I just can't go back to pressing a button for my shots. The shot-stick was so weird and felt difficult at first, but then it made me really appreciate the 2k games and their passion for the game. Pressing the button just doesn't feel right to me at all these days.

The graphics are really sharp (although I prefer the more subtle look that 2k delivers) and the commentary in Live is quite good as always. I would say that Live is making good on it's word that to improve each year, but 2k is just too far ahead in my eyes.

I didn't want to complain about pressing a button for my shoot but i think it has actually affected me mentally when I dunked. I havn't played 2k9 in a few months but as I was playing this demo I was asking myself does the controller vibrate when you dunk. I think it was the whole pulling back and holding forward when I dunked that put that in my head but the demo just felt off for me.

Yes, on PS the Triangle button does a hopstep or spin move depending on player and position.

Yeah this game just is the opposite to 2k.

Also the controller does vibrate on dunks and contact lay-ups which feels like a major difference. The controller just doesn't give any feedback when playing live.
