Default Heat Scrubs I like (Pre-Season)

This is a thread, dedicated to all those lower-tier players on the heat line up that are fighting for a role player position on the team and those that are just fighting for a contract. It is fitting that this thread be created here, since not a lot of posters post on the Heat forums, but the frequenters here should pay some mind to those on the bottom echelon of the Heat organization.

After watching the Heat and Nets play their exhibition match, I'd say that I do like Earl Barron and I hope that he can develop more of an inside presence. Maybe bulk up a little bit more. He's got plenty of potential and I'd rather have a solid 7 footer backing up Beasley or Haslem in the paint than Magloire.

Also, it's a shame Quinn got injured before, because I really would've liked to see him play. I'm not a fan of Marcus Banks even though he clearly out-performed Chalmers today. I would like to see a duo of Chalmers and Quinn at the PG position, and maybe Livinginston. But I just get the idea that Banks doesn't really mesh well.

Finally, I like the new addition of Youkhouba Diawara. He looks like a solid defender, and can run the break fairly well. I'm not sure how solid he is offensively, but I hope he finds success as well.

Feel free to add any comments about the other Heat players.

My Bad, yeah I meant Joel Anthony earlier, not Barron

Earl Barron is not on the team. Maybe you were watching Joel Anthony. Either way they all sucked (Anthony, David Padgett, Jamaal Magloire). As sad as it is to say, Blount by far is our best Center.

If I had to keep one of them it would be Anthony. He makes close to league minimum, and can atleast play a little defense. His offense game is disgusting to watch though. Padgetts offense is okay, but defensively sucks, and Magloire hasn't shown any strengths at all. Both Magloire and Padgett need to go after this season, or be waived once Zo comes back.

Banks has played the best so far IMO. I really liked the way he played yesterday. If he can work on his shooting and not making bad passes, he'd be okay. He's one of the few guys on the bench that can create for himself off the dribble. Chalmers is going to be a project.

Out of Cook and Diawara, I liked Diawara the best. Even though his shot is streaky, he's pretty athletic and plays okay defense. Cook's shot is just too inconsistent, and he's not able to break guys off the dribble like he did in summer league a year ago. He might be out of the rotation by season start.
