    Default Blazers falling fast, Why?

    Are they just being exposed?
What the heck is happening to their 11.5 mil guy, Batum? 9 pts at 38%
Teams like Cavs, Houston, OKC, Griz etc cannibalizing weak teams with good players like Mozgov, Shumpert, Green, Waiters,Smith etc, Oshey has been freakingly slow to get them help.
Arguably have the weakest bench and yet, other teams have found ways to acquire better players.

Fatigue. The young teams are thinking about all star break. Same thing happening with GS right now.

    East is just stacked.

Trashblazers need to gather as many wins in the western conference as they can

Lost Robin Lopez to injury, then lost Joel Freeland who did a good job in the starting lineup while Lopez was out and now Aldridge is hurt, Lillard has hit a shooting slump and just had a long road trip.

We're fine, just a little mid season unluckiness imo.

Nothing at all is wrong with the Blazers it's an 82 game season at some stage every team is going to go through a rut. It's unavoidable. They may lose a few more before they come out of it but they will be there as a top seed in the western conference when the whips are cracking.

Teams under .500 can make the Playoffs out East

One factor is that most of their wins came from an easier schedule and over time it balances out.

    Lillard fell back to earth.

Same thing happened last year. Law of averages.

Lillard went from winning Portland games to losing them. He has been awful throughout January. He's my favorite player, and it's super depressing. Missing Robin Lopez and Joel Freeland hurts, too, but Portland hasn't played well in a long time. Even when they were getting wins against weak teams in December, they were developing bad habits and getting away with it. It is costing them now.

Lillard is a ballhog and chucker. That's why.

Wes Matthews is Portland's best player. Shame that he barely gets touches with Lillard running the offense.

you really think that bench would hold up esp with Batum struggling all year? I don't think so. Were would the Spurs, Clips, Warriors be without their bench.
Portland has no Crawford, or Ginobli or Iggi or Udrih or Lee etc out there.
