Re: What do the Lakers need to do?
Maybe just maybe is because the team just needs to develop some chemistry and to play better. Most of the key players are new and/or injured and that's why they're losing.

Reconsider their goals and make there new goal to finish 3rd in the Pacific ahead of the Suns and Kings.

Re: What do the Lakers need to do?
I don't know about anyone else, but I enjoy watching this fail. It really bothers me how the Lakers end up with all these players. I understand how people want to go to L.A. becuase of the winning ways, but damn...be original you know?
Also the how Dwight thing just makes it that much more funny. He bitched and moaned in Orlando and couldn't make up his mind. Now what? The Magic are 8-13 and the Lakers are 9-14.

Stop turning the ball over.
Don't leave anybody open. You don't have to lock anyone down, just don't give up an open shot. How hard is it to just stay on your man?

Re: What do the Lakers need to do?
they are a complete failure on defense.
Tonight I saw so many Knicks open and getting transition buckets.
It was horrible.

Nothing. Just wait until everyone gets healthy. D'Antoni is a great coach,he'll make things right,he just needs some time.

Jerry Buss should never have let his son Jim run the show. That was the first sign of the end of everything.
He was responsible for the hire of Mike Brown. A solid coach, but way in over his head for the job of managing superstars and high expectations. Jim Buss didn't pay attention to details like that, just the context-free statistics of Brown's winning percentage in Cleveland.
He hired some bartender to scout for the team. Got rid of every Phil Jackson holdovers, due to some failed Jerry Krause philosophy that organizations win titles. GM Kupchak also colluded with Buss in order to reap some credit his way. Hence the non-hiring of Jackson, the spurrious lies about his demands, and the hasty hire of Mike D'Antoni.
Solution is take the car keys away from the moron Jim Buss and send him to his room, and let his intelligent sister Jeanie take over.
The Lakers might return to the playoffs, but in all likelihood, they'll have to junk the season.

The scary thing is that I don't think Nash is that PG...
Steve Nash + Pau Gasol + Dohun for Jeremy Lin + Patrick Patterson + Chandler Parsons

That isn't what I'm saying. They could still easily make the play off's. I just don't think Nash will be back.

You sure?
Last year I was making fun of the Knicks for having D'antoni as coach.
Karma really got me....Lakers got him this year
EDIT: lol...just saw that. I knew a Knicks fan would feel my pain.

Greater defensive intensity and better ball movement on offense.

I wouldn't let tonight's game add to any worry.
This game probably would have been lost even if things were going better. The Knicks are that good.

Re: What do the Lakers need to do?
I'm pretty much going to agree with all Knicks fan. During the Linsanity era, I was following their message board and the frustrations they had with D'antoni is the same the Lakers are having.
They have first hand knowledge of Mr. Doritos.
