John Vander Meer in 1938

That will NEVER be done again. Forget the fact that it's incredibly difficult, but most managers keep their pitchers on such a strict pitch count these days, it makes it even more of a challenge.

It probably will be broken because there just needs to be a perfect storm of events. A team that is 65 yards out, late in the game, done by 3, 2, 1, or tied and a coach with enough confidence in his kicker. It's far from an unbreakable record.
