We need to give Melo props for that. He changed his game,he adapted to the system.
This one was the only game he took more than 17 shots and he did it because nobody else couldn't hit a shit.
That leads us to conclusion that he's not selfish and looks for his teammates.
Too bad they are scrubs and can't hit an open layup so he has 3.6 assists per game instead of 5-6 he should be having with non-scrub teammates.
Melo's stats so far: 27 points,7 rebounds and 3.6 assists on 44% shooting.
And you must consider that he's basically playing alone on this team. Amare has been horrible this season. Chandler is showing signs of improvement and rest of them are scrubs.
Amare talks a lot but he hasn't shown me anything that makes me think he's a leader.
He talks about defense and rebounding but he hasn't done anything about it on the floor. He doesn't defend, doesn't box out and doesn't even try to get a rebound.
Melo is our real leader. He's maybe smiling all game long but he at least leads by example,he's carrying this team on his back.
He sets up his teammates, goes for the rebounds aggressively and scores when we need the most.
It's Melo's team now,and it was his the day he arrived here.
