Did Morey just outshine Cuban yet again?

Remember when Morey helped the Rockets win their first NBA title since the mid-90's?

13 playoff appearances in the last 14 years, 2 finals, 1 NBA title >>>>>>>>>> stocking roster with players to trade at a future date and never seeing the Conference finals from some place other than the comfort of your own home

Morey is a good GM, but he might be too smart for his own good. Until the Rockets win a title with him at the helm, Cuban's going to be living "rent free", as the kids say, in his and every Rockets fans head.

    Now, that aside....

I am glad Josh brought himself to a Texas team and I am a little upset that he didn't choose Dallas, but there was no way they could have promised him a starting spot. I think he is much better as a guy who can come off the bench, run, run, run like crazy, defend 3's and 4's, not take 3's or long 2's and be a vital cog of the offensive second unit (and occasionally the first), when he is catching lobs, attacking the rim and throwing down putbacks.

Is he the piece that puts Houston over the top? I'm not so sure. I'd like to think if Jones was healthy they wouldn't have even thought about adding Josh, because Terrence does more for the Rockets in his role than I think Josh will in his.

I do know that after the Rondo trade and adding Josh Smith, the Western Conference playoffs are becoming more and more ridiculously stacked and difficult to make it through than possibly at any other point in time in NBA history.

Houston can't shoot and they have poor fundamentals. Poorly coached also.

They're not going to win a title.

And when they make the second round, you'll pretend you called it.

Rockets sign McHale to 3 year extension.

Considering this will be what the fan-base more than likely blames again...

Oops he did it again. The Rockets have been on a tear since the Smith signing.
