I could go on for days. Two of the top five most visible owners in sports (Steinbrenner, Snyder, Al Davis the other 3 w/Jerry and Cuban) are in Texas.

Hell, Texas has it's own brand of Mrs. Baird's bread, Texas Toast. Do you hear that about any other state?

Everything is bigger and better in the state of Texas.

I've lived in Texas all my life, but come on. California is easily the best state in the country.

And UT isn't the biggest college in the country...

The fact that Bush served as governor of Texas doesn't exactly help your argument either.

California and Texas stand apart from all others, I agree. It just depends on what you want out of your state, both are practically their own countries. I should have included them.

UT is the biggest in the country with over 60,000 students.

I have a buddy from Round Rock who is a keen support of the Republic of Texas. He seriously wants Texas to split from the US

Where do you get that statistic from? I'm almost 100% positive that UT has a little under 50,000 students. I think Ohio State is the biggest by enrollment.

Bassy got an Adidas deal, but yea. I wonder what they plan to do with him right away. I mean, I don't think they're thinking Air Durant's right off the bat are they? Probably just get his own custom P.E's of new and soon to be released Nike's like all the other Nike players with deals but non signature shoes

the president is from texas. he also used to be governor of that state.

so that tells you that state isn't very smart at all. and neither is the rest of the country that voted for him.
