I can't argue that they're not classics though. They are.
    those were "very good"

I was in high school when those came out...everyone was nuts for them

Yup, when you listen to music outside of it's time, it's easier to evaluate it for what it actually is instead of buying into hype.

every single thing the Wu did from "Wu-Tang Forever" and before is
    "classic"...after that not so much

Spice 1 - 187 He Wrote and Amerikka's Nightmare are both "classic"...he never gets mentioned though

Off top, I've heard three albums from 96 (All Eyez on Me, IWW, RD) so Idk.

What does that have to do with it being his best album though? It clearly was. The Message and If I Ruled The World are two of my favorite songs ever.

That list would be far more accurate if you called it 'the most overrated hip-hop albums of all time.'

It was Written is a great album I'm not denying that, I used to bump street dreams like 10 times a day.

As far as being his best album though? Nah not IMO Illmatic is his best work.

Halftime, It ain't hard to tell, The world is yours, Represent.. That album had 10 songs and each of them are songs that could have been the selling point for any album as a stand alone single. Felt like every word on this album was carefully selected. It was written would be his 2nd best, I also really enjoyed Stillmatic

As for 96, I was thinking of OB4CL but I just checked and it was released in 95.

I'm on the fence about The Black Album and It Was Written. Great albums for sure, unsure whether they're classics

Edit: Forgot Enter the Wu, Liquid Swords and Fishscale
Try Tabitha sorenson. She knows hip hop. Aks 2pac

Got nothing to do with being 'edgy', just not being a tool that likes what he's told to like.
