No way more people watch women's tennis over men's tennis, not a chance.
There was a big push for "equality" among men and womens tennis, lead by Venus Williams and some others.

The numbers were actually pretty close when they made the change. This was a few years back though when the women's division was stacked with players like Henin, Sharapova, Clijsters, Hingis, the Williams sisters, etc.


I actually think there is a ton of talent on both sides these days. The sport just isn't as promoted in the States anymore because outside of Serena Williams, there are no legit American contenders.
