Default Electoral College or Popular Vote?

So which do you guys prefer?

On principle i feel every vote should count, but the electoral college, basically guarantees Romney will lose, so I'm conflicted.

5 states are going to decide the election

New Hampshire (4), Ohio (18), Virginia (13), Florida (29), Colorado (9)
Total: 73

Obama is probably going to have 259 electoral votes and Romney 206 electoral votes.

Obama can instant win with Ohio, Virginia or Florida. Obama can win with New Hampshire and Colorado. Any other combo gives Obama a win.

Romney needs Ohio, Virginia, Florida and either Colorado or New Hampshire. Basically Romney needs 4/5 swing states. Romney almost needs to run the table to win.

I live in California and it's nice knowing my vote is more important than a person living in another state.

Electoral.

Romney definitely needs Ohio, if he loses it its over, but Obama can lose Ohio and still win.
