Default 2014 Australian Open of Tennis

High temperatures is the discussion. Temperatures exceeding 100+ over the next few days could lead to some upsets. Nadal and Serena are the favorites, but the Men's side is stacked, especially the top part of the draw which has Nadal, Murray, and Federer.

I think Serena and Djoker win the tourney, but I'll be pulling for Stephens and Federer.

Djokovic can win, but he won't.

Also Ivanovic is hot as hell. I'd definitely let her sit on my face.

high temps and fast courts. bad for nadal and old man federer (for different reasons). pretty good for murray and djokes.

i guess djoker beats a laggy murray in the final, given the draw.

I live in Melbourne, but am away on holiday in another state and get to escape the heat thank god. Tomorrow and the next few days should be hitting up to around 40 degrees. I feel sorry for the athletes used to colder conditions.

Might I ask why one would do such a thing?

Pretty sure I saw Maria Sharapova last week in Queen St. Mall here in Brisbane for the warm up tournament.

Not fast courts I`m afraid. Very slow hard courts means grind fest, also known as Nadal`s favorite thing.

My favorite, Federer, has very very slim chances here. His form is very bad. I think it`s up to Nole to prevent Nadal from taking this. Murray is recovering still and can not be expected much of, unfortunately.

Maybe a slightly lower ranked player can make a run?
Del Potro? I fear the courts are too slow him.

I`ll go with Jerzy Janowicz, even if the same applies to him imho.

Maybe Tsonga could make som noise. Would be fun.
