Yea so much that it results in way more offensive fouls than should happen. Again, how is Moon supposed to beat people off the dribble when they play off him so much? He still goes to the rim off the ball but once the ball gets in his hands, no team respects his jumper and plays off him to take away any drives.

From the few summer league and preseason games thus far, i think Joey plays smarter this time around (not to force the drive, but lets the defender come to him)

With the Moon situation, maybe you are right... his lack of ability to make jump shots has limited the opportunity to drive and dunk. But i still thinks that with his leaping ability, he can force a foul (instead of making those up and under moves)

SO that is what he worked on.
Why is it so hard to understand, that teams are MAKING him shoot threes, and clogging the paint with more guys when bosh has the ball, and are quicker to double. Also think of it in a sense that the wing players are gonna get alot of open shots this year with the addition of JO, so why not be able to hit them? We all know he can dunk, unfortunately its not a stat and is based purely on aesthetics. Dunks won't make us a better team, but our starting SF becoming an all around player will.

Why play Moon if what you want is a shooter? Parker, Kapono shoot play Bargs at the three, they all shoot better then Moon. We have an inside out game, a better one then most teams have, what we need is a SLASHING forward. If we had that slashing forward then that's the last dimension needed to become an elite team.

Moon develops a better shot and now defenders get up on him a little more, then what? Is he all of a sudden going to drive, not likely with his allergy to contact and inability to dribble. So all we have is a wasted possession.

Mitchell and Colangelo asked Moon to work on certain elements of his game that THIS teams needs. We can’t afford that big wing player that creates his own shot, makes the defense re-act, creates the open looks for his team mates, and scores 15 on a regular basis. Reality tells us we are not going to find the player that provides all of that. But if Moon would have learned to dribble, put on a little beef to take some contact that’s all we needed for now. We don’t need Moon to score, we need him to make the defense move and create open looks for our excellent perimeter shooters, or for the titanic tandem of Bosh and JO to get easy looks in the paint.

If Moon slashes, he draws fouls and shoots free throws. Wouldn’t it be nice to have somebody else with Bosh doing that? All I think of is what could have been, both for the Raptors and for Moon.
