He'll probably get Tayshaun/Dunleavey money - 5 years, $47 million.

Exactly .

Iggy hasn't proved anything yet and this is his contract year. He's going to have to prove something to the sixers if he wants big money.
Proved to be a hard nosed defender and last time I checked these guys are getting payed big bucks.

^Yeah, Bowen's three year, 12 million deal is through the stratosphere. And DeShawn, he really cashed in with the L minimum

Dumbest comment ever. Applies to bigs only. No one is getting 50 million for good perimeter D.

Ben Wallace is a big man. Having a ring didn't hurt him either.

Sammy didnt prove anything and he got 6yrs $60mil. This is the NBA you dont have to prove much, just sell a franchise you have the potential to earn that money down the line and if you buy it? Sold.

This isnt MJ getting a long term deal with cheap wages only to want compensation after the fact. This is getting paid and now having to earn it. To me the system is ass backwards. Players dont have to earn thier money.

Agreed. That's what Stern is trying to fix, and the effects of the luxury tax are starting to be felt by the L. This was only the third year of the tax, and it looks like it is forcing owners to be more conservative and therefore reward players based more on preformance than potential.

This is why Stern is a genius. He really is. If you look at his moves, he is a visionary.

As recently as 1994, draft picks were holding out for 50 millions deals before they had played a minute in the L. Stern has worked hard to change such insanity, and will contunue to.

After he signs his deal, he will be considered overpaid.

I'd offer Iggy 7 to 8 mill, that seems far unless he turns into a monster

Contract similar to a Corey Maggette. Around 6-7mil a year would be fit for Iguodala unless he shows drastic improvements in his game this year.
