Default A Question relating Rashard

I was thinking about how low rashard went in the draft.

Im wondering if anyone can tell me what were considered his main flaws as a rookie considering he was such a steal in his draft position. And did anyone realise how good he would be in his rookie year? or did he just catch everyone by surprise once he progressed over his first few years?

Thank you in advance, from a Shard fan who knows little about NBA history.

Default copy and paste info on shard

rashard was considered a steal because he and everyone else thought he would go in the first round. the camera picked him up crying as he was being passed up--- especially by the rockets whom he said told him that they were going to take him for sure. obviously he interpreted it as a rejection and the emotions got to him.

rashard was the third pick in the second round in 1998

in 1998, taking a high school kid was still a gamble because you really didnt know how they would respond to th nba game. he had a very slight build and the question was if he could handle the small forward position in the league-- especially defensively.

it is clear that shard is having the last laugh on all the teams that passed him up. especially when he made the all star game two years ago
