Default Should the Bulls trade Michael Sweetney soon?

In training camp it is said that Michael Sweetney looked more out of shape than the listed 270 pounds on the preseason roster. After two days of practice he was so dehydrated that he needed some special fluids to help him out. I can't believe a basketball player at 6'8 can weigh almost 300 hundred pounds, that's way too much. I would understand if most of his weight was muscle but it's not. He can still contribute some on the court, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Bulls decide to trade him away along with a future 1st round pick and maybe also a second round pick, especially if it's a high pick for an effective offensive minded low post scorer.

Does he have some kind of metabolism problem? I read somewhere that it is harder for him to lose weight. I dont know I might be wrong and he might just be fat and lazy... but yeah if thats not the case, then yeah he should be traded cos its his contract year and he should at least make an effort to get in shape to secure himself a good deal at the very least... 270 is far too much.

If we did trade Michael Sweetney for a better player and or other compensation I think it would benefit the Bulls because it won't make a big difference if he leaves, we have other talent that can take his place. I guess it would be all right if he stayed, but out off all the current Bulls players I have a feeling he would be the first one to be traded, no one else comes to mind.

There have been many fans refering to him as the new Robert "Tractor" Traylor of the NBA.

Yeah, just trade him, he's getting too "big" just like Kemp. (no offense to kemp, cause mike ain't no player compared to shawn)

I've said before (not here) that we should give him one more season to get in shape and prove himself worthy of a roster spot. If he can't do so this year (and it looks like he can't) then we should let him leave at the end of the season. I believe we have a qualifying offer on him for next year.

Yes we should trade him and probably get a good tall young player for him because we dont want to resign him we have Kirk and Noce to resign after this year

If Sweetney gets traded, who will take him?

If he goes, he will be in a package. Then he will talk trash about how the team never had faith in him and Skiles never gave him a shot (We know how that goes no?)

I think the deal he'd be in would also include a future first rounder and perhaps a second round pick from the Bulls. The Bulls aren't probably willing to give up anyone else at this point. It also all depends on what player we'd be getting in return for him. If I were John Paxson I would try to pull off aquiring someone that would prove to be a significant contributer.
